Pressure Regulating Valves – PRV’s

Delta’s Pressure Regulating Valves (PRVs) are designed and manufactured to meet the BS5041 (High Pressure) standard, ensuring reliable performance in demanding applications. Constructed from gunmetal BS1400 LG2, these valves are ideal for marine environments and other harsh conditions.

Our PRVs are available with flanged or threaded inlets and either an integral 2½” Instantaneous female outlet or a 2½” BSP male outlet for easy compatibility with various international fittings.

Delta’s Pressure Regulating Valves – PRV’s are expertly designed to maintain uniform firefighting pressure across fire mains, ensuring optimal safety and performance. Ideal for high-rise buildings, they ensure constant pressure regardless of location, preventing over-pressurisation that could compromise safety.

These PRVs are also suitable for ring mains where normal pressure may exceed the safe operating limits of portable firefighting equipment. Constructed from corrosion-resistant LG2 Gunmetal, Delta PRVs are highly durable and perfectly suited for use in marine and other harsh environments

FAQs

Pressure Regulating Valves (PRVs) are fire hydrant system valves designed to automatically reduce and control outlet pressure to a safe, consistent level. They ensure that firefighters receive usable water pressure regardless of fluctuations in the incoming supply. Delta Fire PRVs are manufactured to BS5041 standards and are widely used in fire mains and hydrant systems.

They are needed to prevent excessive pressure that could damage hoses, couplings, or endanger operators. PRVs maintain stable operating pressure across the system, especially in high rise buildings or high pressure ring mains, ensuring safe and controlled firefighting performance.

Pressure Regulating Valves are typically installed on wet risers, fire mains, ring mains, and hydrant outlets in high rise buildings, industrial plants, marine environments, and offshore facilities. They are used wherever consistent outlet pressure is critical for safe firefighting operations.

Delta Fire PRVs are factory set to a normal outlet pressure of around 7 bar, but they are adjustable to suit site requirements. The regulating spring can be set across a defined operating range to match different system pressures and application needs.
