Fixed Inline Inductors are foam proportioning devices designed to be permanently installed in a foam system to accurately mix foam concentrate into a pressurised water supply at a set flow rate. They are engineered to provide reliable foam proportioning with factory‑calibrated settings that deliver induction rates typically between 1 % and 6 %, making them suitable for fixed fire suppression systems and fixed foam delivery installations. Each unit is precision‑built and calibrated to the specific flow and pressure requirements of the system, and they are manufactured with durable materials for long‑term service with minimal maintenance.
Fixed Inline Inductors differ from portable foam inductors in that they are designed for permanent installation in fixed foam systems rather than being moved from place to place. Fixed units are calibrated at the factory to match specific system flows and pressures and are typically integrated directly into built‑in fire suppression infrastructure. Portable inductors, such as Delta’s Z‑Series, are simple, stand‑alone devices that can be connected to hoses on demand and moved between applications, whereas fixed inline units form part of a larger installed foam delivery system
Fixed Inline Inductors are typically installed in permanent foam delivery systems where reliable foam proportioning is required as part of ongoing fire protection. Common locations include fixed foam suppression systems for bulk fuel storage areas, plant and industrial facilities, loading bays, fixed hydrant systems, manufacturing sites, and other high‑risk installations where foam discharge devices are part of an integrated safety setup
