The Delta DF-7X series of variable induction low-expansion foam branchpipes are lightweight, highly maneuverable and designed to discharge fully aspirated foam directly onto the risk. Ideal for all foam types including the new fluorine-free foams producing excellent aspirated foam with good expansion and long drainage times, both important features when using fluorine-free foams.
The DF-7X Foam Branchpipe is supplied as standard in hi-viz yellow or orange with hard black anodised 2½” Instantaneous male inlet adaptor, however BSP threaded inlets are available on request along with all international adaptors for compatibility to customers’ existing hose lines. The optional DF-7XP model incorporates an ergonomic pistol grip suited for use with firefighting gloves conforming to BSEN 659:2003+A1:2008 and BSEN 388:2003 Standards.

The DF‑7x Foam Branchpipe is a professional low‑expansion foam applicator used in firefighting to deliver fully aspirated foam for rapid knockdown and fire suppression. Designed for use with compatible foam induction systems such as the Delta Z Series, it allows operators to apply foam efficiently over flammable liquid surfaces and other fire hazards. The DF‑7x features robust construction and ergonomic controls, making it suitable for use by industrial, marine, offshore and fire and rescue services where reliable foam delivery is essential.
The DF‑7x Foam Branchpipe is considered variable induction because it allows the operator to adjust the proportion of foam concentrate being mixed with water as it flows through the branchpipe. This means firefighters can select the optimal foam percentage (usually between 1 % and 6 %) depending on the fire scenario, type of foam concentrate, and target fuel. The adjustable induction feature ensures precise foam proportioning, efficient foam generation, and flexibility across different fire risks, making it suitable for industrial, marine, offshore, and emergency operations where foam requirements may vary.
The DF‑7x Foam Branchpipe produces fully aspirated low‑expansion foam with excellent expansion and stable drainage. It is designed to generate good quality, fully aerated foam that blankets and adheres effectively to the fire surface, helping suppress flammable liquid fires efficiently. The foam it produces has good expansion and long drainage times, which are both important for effective fire knockdown and sustained foam coverage, and it is suitable for use with all foam types including fluorine‑free foams.
