New event hailed a great success
| Delta Fire
The Serco International Fire Training Centre provided the perfect location for Delta's inaugural product demonstration event on June 5th & 6th which saw a number of UK Fire Services and Industry professionals come together to witness some of Delta's latest equipment used in live fire scenarios.
Day 1 - 'Aviation Day' focussed on Aviation fire fighting techniques where Delta's latest Attack Pro-Series Nozzles were put through their paces on Serco's infamous fire screen. The Fast Attack foam branchpipe was used on a large bund fire simulating typical aviation fuel transfer/storage risks. The new RamFan EX50Li PPV was demonstrated on Serco's CAT 10 proving its versatility for undercarriage/break cooling and fuselage smoke clearance and Delta's new Attack Pro Dry Powder Nozzle was used for fast knockdown of engine fires.
Day 2 - 'High Rise Day' saw the unique Floor Below Nozzle used in a multitude of formats. Designed to rapidly reduce compartment temperatures in high rise buildings from the floor below this nozzle offers significant fire fighter safety benefits. Wind driven fires in tall buildings present a range of challenges for first attending fire crews. The floor below nozzle is designed specifically for this purpose and the feedback from the attendees on the day was extremely positive. Delta's Fog Spike System was well received and proved the benefits of pre-entry compartment temperature reduction.
