FAQs

A fire monitor is a high flow firefighting device, sometimes called a water cannon or master stream device, used to deliver large volumes of water or foam onto a fire from a safe distance.

It is designed to project a powerful, controlled stream through an adjustable nozzle, allowing the operator to direct water precisely onto large or high risk fires. Fire monitors can be manual, portable, fixed, or remote controlled, depending on the application.

They are commonly used in industrial sites, petrochemical facilities, marine environments, airports, and fire service operations, where high water flow and long reach are required.

Delta Fire supplies a range of fire monitors designed for different flow rates, risk levels, and levels of control, from portable deployment through to fully automated systems.

The main types include:

  • DPM1900 Portable Monitor
A lightweight, single person deployable monitor designed for rapid setup and flexible firefighting. Suitable for industrial, marine, and high risk temporary protection applications.
  • DPOM1900 Portable Oscillating Monitor
A portable monitor with automatic oscillation, creating a sweeping water pattern for enhanced area coverage without continuous operator control.
  • DF series Fixed Monitors (e.g. DF1900 / DF4500)
Permanently installed monitors designed for continuous protection of high risk areas such as tank farms, bunds, loading bays, and industrial sites.
  • DF2000 Foam Trailer Monitor systems
Integrated foam based monitor systems designed for high volume foam application in petrochemical and fuel storage environments.
  • Force 50 Robotic Monitor
A remote controlled electric monitor delivering up to 2100 LPM, designed for high risk industrial and marine environments requiring precision and safe operator distance.
  • Force 80 Robotic Monitor
A higher capacity robotic system delivering up to 5000 LPM, with advanced remote operation and optional autonomous targeting capability for extreme risk environments.
